What we can provide at short notice

- Music at the wake service, as well as at the Funeral Mass, if you’d like it.
A larger ensemble may be possible with more notice. Please ask, and we’ll tell you honestly what we can arrange.
Availability, stated honestly
Most Catholic funerals in Singapore are held on weekdays. Our singers serve alongside full-time work, so weekday availability is limited. When you message us, we’ll check straight away and tell you quickly either way, so you’re never left waiting on us while you make other arrangements.

- Void deck. For wake services. We’ll bring a guitar or keyboard if needed.
- Home. For prayers with the family.
All of these are workable. For venues without an instrument, tell us when you message and we’ll plan around it.
The music at a Funeral Mass
The music at a Funeral Mass is there to carry the prayers of the family and the congregation, and to commend your loved one to God. It usually includes an entrance hymn, the Responsorial Psalm, the Gospel Acclamation, hymns at the offertory and communion, a Song of Farewell at the final commendation, and a closing hymn.

If the contribution is a difficulty
Please write to us. No one should be without music at their wedding or a funeral because of cost. We’ll work something out, and we won’t ask you to explain.

- The date and time
- The church or venue
- Whether it’s the Funeral Mass, a wake service, or both
- Any hymns you’d like

Can you provide a singer for a funeral at short notice?
Often, yes. We provide a cantor, or a cantor with an accompanist, for Funeral Masses and wake services, and we'll do our best even with a few days' notice. Our singers work during the week, so availability is limited. Message us on WhatsApp and we'll tell you quickly whether we can be there. There is no short-notice charge.
What hymns are sung at a Catholic funeral?
A Funeral Mass usually includes an entrance hymn, the Responsorial Psalm, the Gospel Acclamation, offertory and communion hymns, a Song of Farewell at the final commendation and a closing hymn. Families often choose hymns of comfort and hope drawn from scripture. Your parish may guide the choice, and we'll help you choose.
Can we request specific hymns?
Yes. If there are hymns your loved one held dear, tell us and we'll do our best to include them. Some parishes keep a list of hymns suitable for a Funeral Mass, so we'll check your choices with the parish. Where a request is better suited to the wake than the Mass, we'll suggest that gently.
Can you sing at the wake as well as the Funeral Mass?
Yes. We can lead hymns and sung prayers at the wake service, at a funeral parlour, a Catholic wake chapel, a void deck or at home, as well as sing at the Funeral Mass. The wake service is an additional contribution of $80 to $120. Let us know the times and venues when you message us.
