Availability, Lead Times and How Booking Works

Lead times by arrangement

These are minimums, not targets. Most couples plan their wedding six to twelve months ahead, and the best time to ask us is as soon as your date and parish are confirmed. An early enquiry gives us the best chance of saying yes, and gives you more time to plan the music with us.

Why dates are limited

Our singers and musicians serve alongside full-time work. That’s why our dates are limited and why we schedule rehearsals well ahead.

It is also why the music is good. Everyone who sings with us already sings regularly in parish liturgy. They know the Mass, they know how to lead a congregation, and they give up their evenings to rehearse your music properly. A lead time of one to three months lets us gather the right people for your date and prepare with care, rather than hurriedly.

Funerals

A funeral rarely comes with notice, and we understand that. Most Catholic funerals in Singapore are held on weekdays, when our singers are at work, so weekday availability is limited. We treat every funeral request as a priority: message us on WhatsApp and we’ll check straight away and tell you quickly either way. There is never an extra charge for short notice. What affects availability

Whether we can confirm your booking depends on a few things:

• Date and time. Saturdays fill first; weekday and early-morning celebrations depend on our singers’ work.
• Parish. Some parishes set rehearsal windows or other requirements we need to fit around.
• Number of singers. A cantor is easier to confirm than a full choir of sixteen to twenty.
• Musicians. Particular instruments, such as organ, depend on who is free.
• Repertoire. New or unusual music needs more rehearsal time.
• Rehearsal. Larger groups need rehearsals scheduled weeks in advance.

How booking works

1. Send an enquiry Tell us the occasion, the date and time, and the parish. If you’re not sure which arrangement you need, just say so. We usually reply within three days.
2. We check availability We confirm whether we have the singers and musicians for your date.
3. We plan the liturgy together We talk through which parts are sung, your hymn choices, your parish’s requirements and the rehearsal schedule.
4. We confirm the arrangement The group, the music list and the contribution are agreed, and we begin preparing.

Rehearsal at your church

We rehearse your music as a group well before the day, at our own rehearsal space. A rehearsal inside your church depends on the parish. Many set a rehearsal window shortly before the wedding, and some have limited access because of other Masses and events. Wherever possible, we use whatever time the parish offers, and we always arrive early for a sound check so we’re settled in the space before the celebration begins.

If we can’t do your date

We’ll tell you quickly and plainly, so you can make other arrangements without losing time. Where we can, we’ll suggest an alternative: a smaller arrangement we can confirm, or a different time on the same day. We’d rather give you a clear answer than keep you waiting on a maybe.
